Introduction

Can you provide a brief overview of your entrepreneurial journey and the business you're currently involved in?

My first venture was called V Resorts - an aggregation of eco-resorts across the country. We were venture funded from early on and we expanded to run 200+ properties across 22 states in India. After exiting in 2020, I started work on another venture in sustainability. Using all the data we had collected and learned from running an Eco-friendly venture, I now want to make sure customers get this level of transparency as well.

How do you define success, and how has your daily routine contributed to your achievements?

Success is like happiness, transient and momentary. There is always more to achieve, farther to go and better to do. And therefore, it needs a consistent effort, a daily routine and discipline to achieve the next goal.

Morning Routine

What time do you usually wake up, and how do you start your day?

I don’t belong to the 5 am club, in fact I sleep about 9-10 hours every night and hence remain refreshed through the day. I start my day with chants, they help clear my mind and set the path forward for the entire day.

Do you follow any specific morning rituals or exercises to set a positive tone for the day?

Yes, after chanting for about 30 mins, I do my daily stretches for 15-20 mins, and then post prescheduled matter on social media. (PS - social media planning is reserved for sundays and covers the entire week).

Planning and Prioritization

How do you plan and organize your tasks for the day? Do you use any specific tools or apps for task management?

Planning is my favourite pastime (I’m a Virgo!). It’s what comes naturally to me. Evernote and slack are my go-tos. I love that Evernote auto syncs across devices and all data is current. Stacks help me keep track of all buckets.

Could you share your approach to prioritizing tasks and making to-do lists?

It’s pretty easy - there is urgent and then there is important. I use this to differentiate my tasks and plan my week. Urgent matters are reserved for first half of the day, then you get to the important stuff in the second half.

Workspace and Environment

Can you describe your workspace setup? What elements are crucial for your productivity?

My desk, my pen and pad (despite digital tools), and my computer. My table is relatively clutter free, apart from these crucial elements. And art. Workspaces must have art. It soothes my soul.

Are there any specific tools, gadgets, or software you use to optimize your work environment?

Yes. Notes on iphone, sticky notes for To-Be-Done on Mac, and Evernote across devices.

Time Management

How do you manage your time throughout the day? Are there any techniques you follow, such as time blocking or the Pomodoro technique?

I am super focussed. Once my tasks are listed for the day, I first focus on completing them. Only then would I make time for other things. As a woman, I’m also particular about closing shop at a certain time, so that I can be there for my child. That said, I’m always available on Saturday’s and Sundays for any extra or pending stuff that can’t be completed over the week.

Do you delegate tasks or outsource certain activities to focus on high-value tasks?

Always. Delegation is the key to building large organisations. And as someone who has led a 3000 people team on ground, I would say that it’s very important to define metrics for success and then track them relentlessly.

Communication and Networking

How do you handle emails and communication during the workday?

I handle emails by priority of 1. Urgent 2. Important 3. Can be done later

Are there any particular tools or platforms you use to stay connected with your team and professional network?

Yes, slack is great for sharing data and creating channels for specific teams.

Health and Well-being

What role does physical exercise play in your daily routine? How do you incorporate it into your busy schedule?

For me, the day starts with a bit of exercise. I’m not super stressed on whether I made my steps or not, it’s just one aspect of my life. Also fitness for me encompasses everything - diet, hair and skin routine, etc

How do you ensure you're maintaining a healthy diet and staying hydrated during the day?

I have a jug of water that stays with me through the day. I keep sipping on water as my throat tends to get dry (coz we’re talking all the time!). Also green tea is what keeps me awake post the 4 pm drain!

Are there any supplements or medicines you include in your daily routine to support your overall well-being? If so, could you share some details about them?

I am particular about my vitamins and that’s pretty much all I take. No dietary supplements, I prefer foods rich in protein like soya and juices rich in vitamins and minerals.

Learning and Growth

Do you dedicate time to continuous learning or self-improvement? If so, how do you go about it?

A 100% yes! That is really the secret to my success honestly. Constantly upskill. I just finished a program at Stanford and glad I was able to do so. I have a very strong network, I’m in almost all entrepreneurship groups and forums and that’s where we get information on what courses to do.

Are there any specific books, podcasts, or resources you find particularly valuable?
